Now try to explain to me with facts why a living human being is not a person.
Fetuses are only person’s when it’s “convenient” for your arguments, but when pro-lifers are faced with a lawsuit, all of a sudden fetuses aren’t persons, I wonder why that is? /sarcasm.
Fetuses are potential persons, but they are not people, they are not autonomous, they are not sentient, and they do not have personhood, which is granted at birth, which grants you rights as a person. Fetuses cannot be legally given rights as they are intrusive violations of bodily autonomy, and when you infringe on someone else’ rights, you get yours taken away.
“A person is recognized by law as such, not because he is human, but because rights and duties are ascribed to him. The person is the legal subject or substance of which the rights and duties are attributes. An individual human being considered to be having such attributes is what lawyers call a “natural person.”” [x] - Paige
Reblogging for that first link, holy shit the hypocrisy is mind-boggling.
